I hate daylight savings...

...at least in the spring! Ever since the time change everything seems out of whack in my life. It seems like I was just getting a schedule that worked for me and then it all changed. It's weird how that one little hour makes such a huge difference! I had been waking up between 7 and 7:30 every morning but now that it stays dark until almost 8 I can't seem to get up before then. I don't like getting up when it's still dark outside. I know, I know that will have to change one day as everyone likes to remind me, but for now I have a choice and I prefer to get up when the sun is at least making it's way up. My kids don't get to bed until later b/c they don't like to go to bed when it's still light outside. However, Adam is still up early--he doesn't care whether it's still dark or not, although he comes and gets in my bed until it is light b/c he knows he isn't allowed to get up until it's light outside.

Am I the only one who has a hard time with daylight savings? It's great in the winter to "gain" that hour, but it is always hard losing it. Hopefully my body will adjust and soon!

I WASN'T just getting into a schedule- my life is always WACK. So daylight savings only makes it worse. So in many ways yes I hate daylight savings and losing the hour because I seem to feel it so dang much. However you put your kids to bed at 7pm and mine never get to bed until 8 or 9-- so I don't have the same problems that way. I have always hated however, that it gets light so early because my kids always seem to wake up earlier and then there is a window in my room and the sun shines right in my face in the morning and I want it to go away (not a morning person- other people might like that). Still with the weather getting as BEAUTIFUL as it is out here-- where we get snow in the winter and weeks where it doesn't go above freezing-- I can't wipe the smile off my face. We can open the windows and let the fresh crisp air in, we can go for walks, everyone is out playing in the cul-de-sac and the tulips are a very few weeks away from blooming! So as annoying as daylight saving is, I can't help but be happy about it anyway but it signals a very happy time is on the way!

I forget about daylight savings since AZ is crazy and doesn't do it! But it annoys me anyway since now I'm on Pacific Time again and I hate being 3 hours different from the East Coast . ..

It seems like it has thrown me off more this time than normal--maybe because I got used to being in AZ and now have to get used to it again. Or maybe because I have a kid in school now. I don't like getting up when it is still dark either, so that makes it harder to get Jessica ready for school. But on the days I don't have to get her ready, I don't mind that the other 2 will sleep in later, since (as I'm sure you will notice by the time of this comment) I am a night person, not a morning person. However, I DO have to get her to school tomorrow, so I'd better get to bed now! So you can enjoy your sleeping in tomorrow while I am driving my kid to school! :-( That's nice for you, though! :-)

I hate daylight savings time too! Our kids stay up later and get up way earlier than they should. I hope that it gets better for ya!! Well, we will see you on Saturday at the ward egg hunt.

I'm not fond of losing the hour and having to change all the clocks in my house--I still haven't changed my big clock that's up high on my wall--but other than that I do okay with it. I changed my bedside alarm clock before I went to sleep Saturday night and when I woke up it said 8:10 and I was pleasantly surprised. I hadn't slept in past 8:00 for a very long time. Then I realized that it was really 7:10. The joke was on me ha ha!

I guess I've come to the conclusion that I'm a morning person. I really love getting up to a quiet house and being able to get a lot done before anyone else stirs. If I could only get to bed earlier...

Hope your you and your kids have acclimated by now!

i'm with you...just when i got isla on a good schedule and we were making to preschool on time--BAM! daylight savings. my kids haven't slept well since (and so neither have i). ugh! i love the gain in the fall...but hate the lose in the spring. i wish we were all like AZ...who needs it? and switching all the clocks? there was one i never switched from the fall so now it's right...and well, there's one i'm not going to switch this time around either. ugh.
